Applicants generally need to provide the application form and passport materials, approval from the respective ministry (BIDA or BEPZA), an up-to-date income tax clearance certificate, Bangladesh Bank permission where a liaison, branch or representative office is involved, declarations of national and foreign staff numbers, and an encashment certificate for the previous two years.

NGO visas apply to those working with non-governmental organisations. Documentation usually comprises the application form and passport details, a letter from the concerned NGO duly attested by the NGO Affairs Bureau, and an appointment letter specifying the terms of employment.
